After a productive week in Harrisburg, it was great to get back to legislative door knocking in McCandless. Even with the cold & rain, it is always great to engage with my constituents. Thanks to all for your time. Look forward to continuing these discussions throughout the year.

Today is National Black AIDS/HIV Awareness Day. As an ER Doc who has cared for many HIV patients, I know that this is a preventable and treatable disease. Unfortunately, HIV/AIDS continues to disproportionately affect the Black community. We can and must do better.

Feb. is Cancer Prevention Month, recognizing the many ways that we can reduce our risk of cancer. As an ER Doc, I continue to care for patients with cancer. As a legislator, I'm proud to work to improve cancer care in PA. Please talk with your doctor on ways to reduce cancer risk

Today, the House passed my bipartisan legislation with @RepMihalek to enact food allergy protections in restaurants and other food retail facilities. As an ER Doc, I've treated many food allergy cases. I'm proud to champion this effort to reduce the risk of deadly food allergies.

Today, the Governor presented his budget. I'm pleased to see increased investment in public education and safety and a focus on healthcare costs. This is the start of the budget process. I will deliberate on how we can advance our community and be good stewards of public dollars.

⚠️Due to expected inclement weather, HOV lanes will close TONIGHT, approx. 2 hrs after the end of the Penguins game. HOV lanes WILL NOT reopen for rush hour Wed morning & are expected to remain closed throughout the duration of the storm. More details provided prior to reopening.

Yesterday was Women’s Heart Health Awareness Day. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for women in the US. I was proud to join bipartisan colleagues to wear red to raise awareness of this critical health issue.
