Today, I visited a Head Start center in #CA34 to hear from families and educators about the chaos and impact of Trump’s illegal funding freeze, which threw child care programs into chaos. In LA, thousands of parents count on Head Start to go to work while their children learn.

After Trump’s illegal action, my office and I heard that Head Start centers like this one were locked out of their payment portal and could have been forced to close their doors, not pay educators, and halt these critical services.
