Governor Josh Shapiro's 2025-26 budget proposal would benefit all Pennsylvanians and I'm excited to work across the aisle to continue to invest in education funding and charter school reform, as well as address jobs, taxes, housing and so much more.

I am very proud that my and Representative Kristin Marcell's bipartisan legislation (H.B. 201) which would allow intermediate intermediate units to own facilities for instructional space overwhelmingly passed the House today (155-47).

School directors provide a valuable and voluntary public service to support the education of our students. That's why I'm offering a resolution to recognize their efforts by naming January 2025 as School Director Recognition Month in Pennsylvania.

As we begin a new legislative session, I remain committed to comprehensive, bipartisan cyber charter school reform that holds them accountable for how they spent tax dollars, ends overpayments, and puts the health and well-being of students first. (2/2)

Sometimes it's more cost-effective to own space rather than rent it. My bill would allow Intermediate Units to purchase their teaching facilities rather than rent, which could save money & provide better opportunities for students. Thanks to Rep. Kristin Marcell for your support!

We have a state song in Pennsylvania - and it's outdated and almost completely unknown. A new state song will help improve our united identity as a state, provide new opportunities for the arts, and support tourism. Let's get a song Pennsylvanians can know and be proud of.
