Did Peter sutcliffe murdering 13 women coz he was told to by god mean that all Christian’s are serial killers or is Hitler being a Christian meant to reflect the values of Christians we can go all day with examples of atrocities carried out in the name of different religions it only becomes relevant if it’s a statistical norm or much more prominent than other organisations

@GaryAnd52713996 @seenematik Also the distortion of religion to justify evil happens with pretty much all religions it’s happened with Buddhism which is meant to be one of the most peaceful religions - Christian crusades etc etc it’s still subgroups using dogma to rationalise behaviour it’s a human problem

@GaryAnd52713996 @seenematik If the ratios were drastically different then ud have a point - say out of 1000 Muslims 100 were involved in grooming gangs and only 1 out of 1000 white people there would be a case for calling it a Muslim problem routed in different cultural norms - but that ain’t the case

Ye of course - judge individuals based on their actions and also keep a sense of empathy if u imagine what it’s like growing up in a country where uve lost family members or homes to war ur gona wana get the fuck out - u can still have empathy and treat ppl like a human being while acknowledging that mass migrations do come with their own societal problems

The difference is don’t put out a blanket statement if ima call out someone for grooming gangs ima assume it’s a collective of deeply fucked up indivuduals - and statistics are important too if we’re talking rape in the UK it’s still mainly white natives feel free to check me on that - so to say “this is a Muslim problem” ain’t colouring it correctly. But that’s not about immigration policy - I do think when there are mass migrations there needs to be better infrastructure for integration and thorough background checks and making sure they’re pulling their weight etc 100%
