@LucySnowJob @NIHDirector @POTUS @NIAIDNews The vaccine prevents the disease, COVID-19, caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2. We know that the vaccines are between 85-95% effective at preventing severe COVID-19 disease; we don’t know yet if it prevents transmission of the virus, but we will in time.
