Farmageddon documentary came out talking about 7 different farms and their battles with the gov. At the showing, Linda did an interview with an Iowa newspaper and that's when the whistleblower came forward

The USDA even threatened to KILL THEIR DOG BECAUSE IT WAS IN CONTACT WITH THE SHEEP.
The dog disappeared but as it turns out, the media and local community were sneaking it around to protect it.

They decided to take this to court 17 days before the appeals court hearing:
42 ARMED FEDERAL AGENTS showed up at 5:30 am, loaded up all the sheep, took them to Iowa, and KILLED THEM ALL.
They even took the equipment and hay. This happened at the end of March '01.

They had to start all over again but the Faillaices weren't going to give up.

They couldn't have any livestock and any hay produced from the land must be taken & burned in a biomass facility in Massachusetts.
Linda tracked it down and turns out, the hay was dumped at a nearby landfill.

The sheep Linda imported produce 20+ more gallons of milk a year than other breeds in America.
Each one was worth $5K and the USDA gave anyone that Linda sold sheep $6-10K.
They had spent nearly $2 million to start the business and they were only paid $180K.

A quarter of what they received went to lawyers who were hired in DC to fight the USDA. The main objective was to get them to admit there was nothing wrong with the sheep.
The USDA responded by imposing a 5-year quarantine on the land they were leasing where.

Linda also contacted her friend Bruno Osh who started a company testing for BSE in Europe. She asked him to come to Vermont to test the sheep, proving the sheep do not have the disease.
THE USDA REJECTED IT.
This was a 3 year long battle for the Faillace family with the USDA.

The main issue is we have been spoonfed lies for generations, trickling down the bad information to future generations.

Dr. Linda Detwiler (different USDA department) showed up at their farm claiming their sheep from Europe could have BSE.
There hadn't been a single case of BSE found in sheep ever. This began the hellish journey of trying to claim innocence from USDA's claims.

Linda & Lary Faillace spent time at University of Nottingham studying Mad Cow Disease (BSE).
And then in the mid 1990's, moved back to the US where they settled in Vermont. They wanted to raise sheep for milk and cheese.

Because the cattle industry is so big and powerful, the USDA knew they couldn't use BSE to convince congress.
Well, it worked, and they got the funding & upgraded their facilities in Ames, Iowa, the same place where they killed all of Faillace's sheep.

At the time there weren't a lot of sheep in America for milk and cheese. So, they wanted to import sheep from Europe, with USDA approval, to start the cheese business in Vermont.
Thus, birthed 3 Shepherd's Cheese in 1993.
Their kids wanted to help out with the farm.

Linda brought over experts from Europe who met with USDA, Sen. Leahy's office, and The National Grange. The experts showed evidence of how there were zero breeds of sheep in Europe they were worried about with BSE. And then they went over the same with their breed.

Linda was trying to get a Scrapies certificate with USDA approval. Scrapies were thought to come from the same protein found in Mad Cow Disease (BSE).
Some breeds of sheep are susceptible to the disease but not theirs.

The best way I can describe cancer is I watched my brother be tortured to death over the span of 6 months. Cancer has no regard for human life, with its only objective being to take out its host.
He passed away last June at the age of 32, 3 days before his 33rd birthday.

To sum it up, raw milk is not inherently bad or dangerous.
It was the conditions of early industrialized milk production that caused disease in the cows, and led to unhealthy milk.
Milk from healthy, free range cows is safe and nutritionally superior to pasteurized milk.

I didn't realize this until I made this post yesterday. It was the little things that kept me afloat after my brother died. I had legit PTSD and life was fucking hell but I loved life before everything came crashing down, I knew I could get back to that.

She has had liters of fluid drained from her lungs multiple times & her liver and kidney are failing.
BUT she can’t get a transplant due to coronary artery disease.
