I would like to see countries with similar values come together in a formal way to apply pressure (economic, legal or otherwise) on those nations that refuse to accept their deported criminal citizens. Who could form this alliance? Britain, the US, Australia, Canada, Sweden, New Zealand, Denmark, Italy, Hungary, Poland - I could go on. If Pakistan refuses to accept a Pakistani child rapist from the UK? If Colombia refuses to accept a Colombian murderer from the US? Allied countries should show a united front. Suspend all foreign aid, enforce visa sanctions, impose emergency tariffs, deliver financial penalties, apply diplomatic pressure, pursue legal action and more. Do it swiftly, do it brutally, and do it together. Not just from one or two countries, but from dozens - watch how quickly these challenging nations fold then. Set an example. It would only have to happen once, and an incredibly effective deterrent would be established. NATO's Article 5 for deportations, if you like. We should not tolerate belligerent administrations refusing to accept their own deported criminals. Quite simply, they are YOUR problem. We do not want YOUR criminals in our prisons, in our communities, in our countries. If the return isn't accepted, this deportation alliance will ensure that there is hell to pay. It wouldn't happen twice.
