Let's look at this seriously for a moment. There is not a single person in the Liberal Party who does not have the stink of Trudeau all over them. Carney is their last-ditch effort to install a leader who can attempt to gaslight Canadians into believing he has had nothing to do with the last nine years. They hope Canadians are dumb enough to buy this smoke and mirrors act and return to the fold, thinking things will be different with a fresh face as leader. If it works, Carney gets to play King of Canada for five years. If it doesn't, he goes back to his $100 billion lifestyle and has a good laugh over it. He really has nothing to lose either way. I think even he knows that the chances of another Liberal government is slim to none. It is seriously akin to trying to resurrect the dead at this point. They're finished.

All I know is this "Carney surge" started with Frank Graves (EKOS) making up nonsense, and it quickly spread to other left-leaning pollsters. It was never based on any objective reality whatsoever.

338canada takes all the polls into account and is the most unbiased that I have seen. You might disagree but outside a couple pathetic photo ops, Carney hasn't campaigned at all since becoming Trudeau's heir apparent. As such, it's difficult to believe the Liberals are surging at the polls as a result - especially when Carney has the personality of a dry heave and the Liberals are still terrified of a non-confidence vote.
