@sunners14 I’m inclined to agree. I just think there are some fundamentals with his methods that simply do not work. He has been plagued by injuries though, like I’ve never seen before, and some of those definitely aren’t his fault although I concede his style may contribute to some.

@TrickTrick85SC Yeah ikr, I’m worn down to a little nub by this season like everyone else. I’m particularly harsh on Tel there too, but from what I’m seen at Bayern he’s quite a way off being effective. Probably still better as a striker than Son, mind.

@alexfrombristol Has to be. The midfield line up changes and this still happens. Has to be the system/managers instructions, right? Tiredness magnifies it a bit, as I also think the WBs don’t tuck in as much either, but there’s a real lack of cohesion.

Yeah I’m convinced this is systemic. It’s not about injuries. There’s a basic issue in possession with players not offering themselves up, there is a lack of passing options, no triangles or 1-2’s. Out of possession we are ill-disciplined, lack shape, are a mess in transitions.

@Andrew61_P Position selections were weird, which is on Ange. I’m not aggressively ‘Ange out’ as the circumstances are against him, happy to give him the season, but if by the summer we have finished bottom half of the league, fallen short in all 3 cups then I’m happy to see him replaced

@Shedboy18 I hear you. However, there are no guarantees at any age or level. You can spend £100m on an established peak player and they still flop. Scouting is key and our development plan and facilities can assist them.

@Shedboy18 What I’m proposing is that we need the absolute best players in order to improve and compete at the top. We can’t attract the established best players, so rather than go for substandard players, just buy the best 18-20 year olds and write off a few years whilst they grow.
