@darrengrimes_
The question is why haven't they used that money before now to help the homeless, the disadvantaged and the disabled that they bleat on about needing help?
@ChrisGPackham
That's being alarmist Chris. The UK produces 1% of the world's CO2. China, India and the US produce 50%. Cycle to China and have a go at them, don't go by train or plane or car.
@afneil
BBC is fast becoming the new C4. Dumbed down cheap tat programmes, usually with a socialist slant, are ever increasing. Even Question Time has lost the plot and Have I got Socialist News For You is no longer funny.
@wideawake_media
It isn't protesting, it's obstruction. As I understand it, standing in the road is illegal. If Sunak was coming along in his car they'd move them. I thought we were all equal in the eyes of the law?
@GuillermElodie
No, you are completely wrong. The UK has out-grown the EU since Brexit and is still doing so. We have our democracy back and worker are getting real wage rises.
@GuillermElodie
Well illegal migrants have to be fed, housed, and dealt with, which costs £billions a year, which can't be spent on the NHS or schools, so your statement is incorrect.
@KateWilton1
I hate to tell you but most people don't think Brexit was a failure if they voted for Brexit.
It's the remoaners who like a littler dog sit at the grave of their master, waiting for him to return
@MayorofLondon
Struggling nurses, care workers, elderly, the poor and the grafters will pay £12,50 a day more to drive. The rich, the wealthy, the non doms, the Russian Oligarchs, the Knights, the Sirs and the Mayor of London will pay nothing more
#ULEZExpansion
44 years ago this week a drunk put me in a wheelchair for life. In life you have to play with the hand you are dealt but always remember - you can win a game of poker with just a pair of duces.
@LeoMars75
They aren't on $100k - That's $100k in 3 years, or $33k a year or £26k p.a. The UK living wage is £11.44, or ££23.7k p.a. Not that different is it? And UK workers got an 8%+ rise this year, not flat for 15 years
@thatginamiller
The UK economy has grown faster than France , Germany and Spain since Brexit.German factory orders have tanked.
If you don't understand stuff best stay quiet imo.
@brow_la
No it hasn't. He stuck up for democracy, If we never had it, you would not be able to have had any say over whether the EU controlled us. Of course you may well have loved people with an opposing view never being allowed to test it in a vote but that is democracy sunshine.
@PeterSweden7
It's to sell you crap like Bill Gate's 'Impossible Beef'. It sort of tastes like meat and sort of looks like meat but with no cows involved you can make loads more of it cheaply, which means BIG PROFIT! Wipe out cows and they have a monopoly too!
@prodnose
She came into power after Labour bankrupted the country, cap in hand to be bailed out by the IMF. The dead unburied, rubbish in the streets. Nigel Lawson balanced the books, we actually paid bown debt. That's the reality of what Thatcher did!
@SusanEacock
Shameful, imagine mocking the way the US put their hand on their heart with the national anthem. Uncultered riff raff best left abroad and not in the UK imo
@wideawake_media
The Green woke don't want to hear the truth - they would sooner live in a fantasy world where they believe we can live joyously from free clean power. Perhaps in 50 years time but not till then.
@Ed_Miliband
no it won't, it will save the every day man and woman thousands. Just like many poor souls have fallen for electric cars that still use fosil fuel energy, that cost 50% more than a proper car but depreciate at 3 times the speed and amount.
@Kevin_Maguire
What will Labour do Kevin? They will have to think of something in ther run up to the election. At least the Tories are trying and failing, Labour would just surrender and open the floodgates.
@guyverhofstadt
You sound scared Guy, the writing is on thre wall buddy, with a lack of democratic accountability in the EU, you are destined to massive failure, and no UK Pounds to help you out going forward either.
@BladeoftheS
Democracy. The inability to stop millions of cheap Labour workers coming here and undercutting low paid workers here and the fun of laughing my Rs off because remainers can't accept losing the biggest democratic vote in British history.
This may shock you but 43% of UK adults pay no income tax.
Basically, half the country that work are supporting the other half. This is a record high.
What side of that divide do you think will benefit from Labour policies? If you are a taxpayer , be careful what you wish for
@BladeoftheS
Because it is codswallop. To rejoin we have to accept the Euro as our currency. We would have £50bn fees to pay per annum. The UK has signed endless trade agreements that can't just be ripped up. The cost and work involved would be huge and we would need a referendum too.
@carolvorders
So how does Labour solve homelessness? We are building 200k homes a year but we have 700k migrants coming here p.a. You can't say 'let them come' and moan about the lack of housing, one or the other!
@davesumnersmith
No. That would be a party that thought that you can have a democratic vote and if you get the answer you don't like, you just vote again till you get the answer you want. We would also have to join the Euro.
@campbellclaret
@38degrees
Well there's plenty that would say sexed up WMD dossiers and illegal wars were far worse an act yet that went unpunished and plenty of Labour lords were created by Tone
@GBullstein
It seems to me there's a certain group that want to demolish all British tradition, culture and history - it's a form of culture genocide, and racist in it's own way. They get away with it thanks to another British tradition of tolerance which they don't seem to mind.
@guyverhofstadt
Seems the people that are not over Brexit live mainly in Europe😂 Brexit was the greatest democratic demonstration since the ballot paper was invented!
@campbellclaret
Two faces! You are a chancer and will spin anything to suit your favour. You post the above yet you headlined the Lectures below. Pure Labour - say anything if you think you can score a point and others won't notice
@Kevin_Maguire
There are hundreds of thousands of people living on the streets or in dreadful run down places who are UK citizens and tax payers that are not living in places as good
@BBCBreaking
@BBCNews
Well the UK and US cutting carbon release won't do jack while China pumps the stuff out for fun, on steroids!
Concentrate more on mitigating the effects for now until we have the green energy tech mastered and cheaper
@Anna_Soubry
@eucopresident
I wasn't conned Anna. I was a 'Brexiteer' and proud of it. The Brexiteers I voted for were democratically elected, unlike Tusk. And they were re-elected after the referendum on a ticket to Leave! #|Brexit
@SadiqKhan
So how many peeps will scrap their old diesel? Few I'd say as they drive old diesels because they can't afford anything better. The poor will just be poorer
@guyverhofstadt
Do you not see the hypocrisy in your post?
"The UK & EU should work together to defend democracy & freedom"
We had a democratic vote to leave! We Brexiteers will defend our own democracy from the likes of you!
@campbellclaret
Well done. You'll get less vat than you expect as some of these schools close and you'll add thousands of kids to the state sector, probably helping drive up the cost of new schools. Labournomics!
@jeremycorbyn
@ChrisGPackham
Pay for the cost of no new oil then. It's a great mantra but wind turbines only work when it's windy and solar only works when it's sunny. We all want clean air but green doesn't provide enough. And why aren't you demonstrating in China who build 2 coal power stations a week?
@guyverhofstadt
It is never going to work - the people that hate Brexit are the EU who are going to start missing the UK contributions hence their panic
@Keir_Starmer
In that time you've flip-flopped you mean, all your 'pledges' ditched. You promised the left all the socialist sunshine to get you the leadership but once in the seat you ditched them. There is not one principle you have that you wouldn't ditch!
@mikegalsworthy
'Having a say' isn't good enough, you need to have control.
Looks like Farage woke the EU up, now he's going to wake up the establishment, the UK elite, the Tory barons and the Labour props who use socialism to feather their nest.
@LucyWoodslucy70
in your opinion. While the reality is the UK has been the fastest growing major economy in Europe since Brexit, and still is - as much as that fact will hurt rejoiners.
@StopCambo
No it isn't "Desert city of Dubai floods as heaviest rainfall in 75 years hits UAE".
So it happened 75 years ago - was that global warming then? No.
We have social media today and you get to see every event so you feel it is more frequent when it isn't.
@TheAnitaHarris
I am sorry to hear Anita. We met at the Dorchester some years back. You are a lovely lady and I'm sure you will have a lot of love around to cradle you through what must be a very sad time xxx
okay, I've lost a fair few quid today but good to keep it in perspective - all I have lost is some money. Many lost far more so that I could be here today - spare a thought at 11 am and remember how lucky we are to live in a relatively peaceful time imo
@wideawake_media
Bang on, and I've been saying this for ages. CO2 is a tiny bit of the atmosphere. How anyone can think a tiny gain in a tiny fraction of the atmosphere can alter the climate is hideous.
@jeremydrysdale
Outrageous - the real fascist are the youth today who think if anyone doesn't vote remain, believe in global warming or who don't want to become a vegan then they are fair game to be verbally or physically savaged.
#EUElection2019
Is it just me that thinks there isn't a future government on offer that looks after the average working family that abide by the law and pay their taxes and want to graft and get on?
It seems they all want to entice niche weirdos to gain every vote while abandoning 'normal'
@guyverhofstadt
Cameron lost the biggest democratic vote in British history and resigned - he's not coming back through the back door to give us any integration back with you lot.
@thommoteach
You mean the rich people that invest their money and risk it all creating factories, businesses and jobs and pay people so that they can make a living? Or is that exploitation when their workers can sit at home on the dole and be paid by the taxpayer for doing nothing?
