Only fitting to reshare this today but with a backstory. ⤵️ On short notice, Coach Dimel carved out more than 30 minutes ahead of his Penn State prep this season to talk shop with me. Not only that but we chatted about our children, laughed about liquor, and he thanked me for my K-State coverage past and present -- absolutely none of which was expected, but also weren't surprising either. Because that's who Coach Dimel was at his core, a warm and inviting personality. Behind his coaching presence was a normal guy you wanted to have long conversations and hang out with. He'll be missed.
