Can be very subjective based on personal experience and in different parts of the country. There was no Twitter / X back then so everything is amplified now. Just some observations. The media in the UK is horrible. General pattern always follows a wave of building someone or something up before knocking it down. But With Arsenal early on it was something else , they are definitely quite a bit xenophobic and that really drives some of the underlying hate that Arsenal gets. They were progressive in terms of black players, then foreign players , foreign managers and methods etc. Although this xenophobia is reflected across some fanbases in certain parts of the country, my personal london experience back then was that when it was wengerball, lots of neutrals ‘ liked ‘ Arsenal and watched as their second team. It’s generally easy to back someone going against the status quo (United and liverpool dominance). I think media probably, at some point became more positive to follow that trend from neutrals. But as we always see, in the later half of wengers tenure, they returned to thier negativity. I don’t think Arsenal were nessecarrily hated during this time, they just became less relevant, less appealing to neutrals. The hate I saw Arteta get right from the off, though , with the amplified noise on social media , felt like another level - but less xenophobia and more about tribalism. It’s a different time now when everyone thinks they are a rival vs when we were ahead of 80% of the rest of the league. There are less ‘neutral’ fans, when stakes are so high in every game. TL:DR; wenger got hate because of xenophobia across the country Arteta gets hate more out of Tribalism than racism. There are less neutral fans today, due to the competitiveness of our league and social media.

@KNGDM_Prince Had we not have been in a situation where Arteta needs trophies … I would happily of forfeited the carabao cup much earlier if it meant longer break and regen in order to push hard on prem and ucl .

@gunsandribbons @REDactionAFC your probably right too subtle and contextual if your an arsenal fan experiencing the backlash over celebrating a win last week

@HaytersTV PGMOL resorting to making such bad decisions without VAR so that everyone thinks VAR is great by comparison?

Let me explain how retarded this idea is with a real world analogy - if you as a black man, get stopped in your car unfairly 7 days of the week in your home town by the same handful of cops, and you complain about it , you decide to raise your voice about unfair treatement . But the next day, you break the lights and another cop doesn’t stop you. you are not going to march down the police station and complain about not being stopped are you ? Nor are you going have a different opinion on unfair treatment you’ve statistically felt you’ve received. The problem is not - having decisions go against you, that’s normal when there is some level of subjectivity - the problem is when decisions , time and time again break all prior precedent to go against you and then rather then own up to a mistake, they triple down that it was the right decision. Yet - the very next day we see them treating others differently in the identical situation.

@FIFA22_INFO RW nwaneri - 5* Skills + trickster+ is there enough combined benefit of both these to warrant taking these ? or better to go WF+tricksters or 5*Skill+trivela+

@WelBeast Elons “free speech” platform … where content and political commentary he approves gets pushed to your feed 24/7 but go against his facist views and your shadow banned and suppressed. Alex Jones is just another in a long line of Zionist simps.

By footballing definitions - no, it’s Reckless, serious foul play or excessive force If does not satisfy the definition for violent -do not involve an attempt to play the ball, e.g. punching, kicking, head-butting -occur away from the ball -occur when play has been stopped,g. reaction to being fouled

VVD if a red would have been for violent conduct , Rice challenge - was not, in any way violent conduct but it was a booking for sure, a Red ? not out of the question given he made a few lunges in a row. But When someone says “Arsenal player would have seen red for that” It’s not quite literal, what people generally mean is closer to “Far more often then is explainable - is the same foul judged differently when it’s an Arsenal player” The VVD challenge , undoubtably i imagine 8/10 refs give that as red to an Arsenal player.

during the match , everyone i watched it with agreed Rice needed to be subbed because he was going to get a red unnecessarly. Here’s the thing , it makes your team no smaller, no more embarrassed , doesn’t make your result any less or more valid to admit you got away without a booking. But 99% of fans can’t seem to understand this, even when it’s clear and obvious. But what you can say is that had it of happened in the first half, it likely was a booking and if it was not , then even Newcastle fans would be riled up. They largely were not , because the result was decided by that point. At that point, it was a meaningless incident, bruno got right back up and cheered to the crowd.

@NoContextHumans what’s different from if some guy got up and walked over to the women at half time and forcefully snatched it out her hand and walked off.
