@BobBaffart That's right ! When I went to Laurel and especially Charles Town, I ventured over to the paddock(so close) . It's amazing what you can observe, especially if you have a sense what to look for. I have changed my mind a few times just watching the post parade and warm-up.

@BobBaffart Good point. You have to look at pools and possible payouts. Sometimes the Exacta payouts tip off smart money. There is an angle some use by looking at the % of the pools per horse. Something like 18% of, let's say the win pool. It points you to possible contenders/winners.

@NA20071975 @BobBaffart There is no weak take. Baffert is treated differently from other trainers. Everything that he does is scrutinized. When he was exonerated by other racing commissions, CDI and NYRA stuck in to him and overruled the other decisions. Baffert is the D Trump of racing..hated,no break

@NA20071975 @BobBaffart This ban for Baffert was nothing more than a confirmation bias trial to make sure that Baffert didn't have the chance to win the KDerby(and Triple Crown) esp on the 150th anniversary. Even the experts couldn't agree that the drug was a PED. Some saw it as an unintentional act.

Sadly, ppl interests have changed. The gambling $$ goes elsewhere...casinos, sports betting, lottery or other interests.

@BobBaffart The elephant in the room, nobody admits to is the wagering strategy..the use of the ALL button. Not only is there no capping involved, it dilutes the results. Just have a large bankroll and bomb the bet and collect the win and rebates. It dilutes WPS, vertical bets for all.
