Happy St George’s Day!
No matter where you hail from be proud of your identity and celebrate all things ‘you’ today.
“Cry ‘God for Harry, England, and Saint George!’”
We did it!

We are supporting The ‘Pretty in Pink for Keeley Bunker’ campaign. The tragic death of Keeley Bunker has rocked our community to the core. Student council have bought pink bows from the official campaign to support Keeley’s family and contribute to funeral costs.
Rawlett celebrates today: Our English pass results of 72% and Maths pass results of 67% led to smiles all around. Class of 2019 achieved 16 grade 9s and should be very proud.
As many will be aware a Rawlett pupil sadly passed away at the weekend. At this tragic time our thoughts are with the family and friends of the pupil who died. We trust you will respect both their privacy and the...

Our school site is fully open today. Massive thanks to the site team who have been up since the early hours to make things nice and safe.
We took this lovely photo this morning.
What a great night at the Tamworth Panto! So great to see Rawlett students like Livvy, Charlie, Lewis, Elanor performing with Rawlett Alumni: Dani and Olivia. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ian Taylor says Ms Smith from Rawlett is inspirational. We agree! Well done to our fabulous Ms Smith and thanks for the shout out.

And so it is a sad but proud farewell to our fabulous year 11s this year. Great Leavers Celebration-not a dry eye in the House after Mrs Scott’s ‘through the years’ celebration!
A very personal tribute during our visit to the Bayeaux cemetery today-George’s Great-Grandad made the ultimate sacrifice during the D-Day Invasion, 1944.
#DDay75
We have arrived home to Bham airport! Looks like we should be back at Rawlett between 6-7pm but will update once we see what traffic is like on route

Message from Mr Vaughan
In no time at all, the impact journey across Kenya is coming to an end. It has been an absolute privilege, and an honour to accompany some of our Y10 & Y11 students over the past 4 weeks.
#remarkablerawlett
We are so proud of our students out in Kenya.
Today they vaccinated over 100 goats. The local community were really appreciative of all their hard work.
Go team Rawlett!
#remarkablerawlett
Wow! Over the past couple of days our students out in Kenya have been building an 'elephant fence' (to keep elephants out of the village) and have started constructing a new classroom at a village school.
Be proud, be Rawlett.

Thursday Normandy Update
"We have had a great day today. Visited the 360 cinema at Arromanches and watched a moving film about the D Day landings. We then plodged in the sea in the pouring rain at Omagh beach before visiting the American Cemetery."
Great photographs sent in overnight from our students out in Kenya.
In the conservation reserve they have been installing wildlife cameras and elephant fences.

Rawlett paused to reflect for two minutes earlier today.
The service of remembrance from the National Memorial Arboretum was streamed live into all classes so that students could take part.
On Sunday, students will be laying a wreath at the memorial outside St Editha's church.
We’re up at 5am to catch our flight from Beijing to Amsterdam. Can’t wait to see our families Friday night! A very estimated time of return to Rawlett would be between 6-7pm but will tweet once we land Bham. See you soon!
Say hello to Hugo.
Hugo lives with Mr Wilson and is a fully trained school dog. He is spending the next few days with us alongside his pal, Dotty.
Hugo was up bright and early to welcome students at the school gate this morning.

It's been yet another amazing day at Rawlett welcoming back our Remarkable year 9 students. They have moved into the new classroom block. Tomorrow we are really looking forward to seeing the Y8's return. The whole Rawlett family will then be reunited at last!
Today over in Kenya our students have prevented soil erosion around a village by constructing special reinforcements. They also created new pathways.
They finished their day with a spot of wildlife bingo!
Soon their adventures must sadly come to an end.
#remarkablerawlett
Over in Kenya our students went on a trek through the Kaya forest earlier.
They finished the day climbing coconut trees so they could make chapati and coconut rice with the locals.
What memories they are making.

Kenya - One week down, three more to go.
The latest photos from Kenya came in overnight and shows students working on the extension they have been building at Marungu Primary School.
Keep going guys!

So what did you do today?
Mr Harper watched the spectacular demolition of the cooling towers in Rugeley this morning. This great video was filmed by Mr Harper himself.
Amazing!
What a wonderful lady.
A life well lived, well loved and sadly missed.
We will be working with students and staff over the coming days to ensure The Queen’s life is properly marked and respected.
Long live The King!
We delivered over 180 boxes to 4 Tamworth care homes today- Meadowrythe, Thomas Hardy, Evergreen and Lane House. All of them have passed on their thanks to Rawlett families for your support!
I have just left
@Rawlett
School, where I spoke to the staff and pupils about their 'Remarkable Campaign' - very impressive work. Quickly back to the office to do some constituency correspondence and then off to

Over in Kenya our students went back to the school they helped today as villagers wanted to thank students for what they had done. They sang their national anthem and played some games with the UK crew!

Rawlett staff and students thoughts are with HRH The Queen and other members of The Royal Family at this awful time.
