Trump was ok with “2 weeks to slow the spread, but he and Republicans argued that extended lockdowns will cause damage to the economy and nothing to stop the virus. They were right. Blue states notoriously continued extended lockdowns which limited the supply of goods and services and also perpetuated high government spending (the exact two ingredients that cause high inflation).
