Another industry heavyweight has been rolling out support for the Radiance Field method, Gaussian Splatting, and this time it's @OTOY's OctaneRender. The 2026.1 Alpha features a path traced (not rasterization) implementation, meaning you're getting the benefits of ray tracing, like reflections, refraction, cast shadows and more, but is still compatible with trained .plys. The Alpha also comes with support for Neural Radiance Caching (not fields), which is tremendously exciting. We'll have to see if DLSS 4 helps supercharge this! Gaussian Splatting has officially arrived in @TheFoundryTeam's Nuke! With the newest plugin from @Irrealix, VFX professionals can now import, manipulate, and render the Radiance Field method directly in Nuke 15 and 14. ๐ฆ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ 1. Render Depth Passes 2.
