This is shocking. New emerging footage of @F1 Abu Dhabi GP containing previously unheard radio. Masi essentially executed the instructions of Jonathan Wheatley (Red Bull) without any second thought over its legality or fairness. This should be sickening listening to any fan.

Interesting thing about top 3 laps of Day 2 Testing so far is at T5 to T7. SAI and HAM are "double pedalling", meaning they use the brakes without releasing the throttle, while PER is directly using the brakes. Suggesting that Ferrari and Mercedes have looser rear at high speeds.

I am genuinely puzzled by Mercedes' claims and independent analyses because, yes, they're lacking in high-speed (and in slow & medium corners) but in the meantime, they're fastest on the straights by some margin. The only driver close to them on the straights is Piastri with tow.

Probably the last interesting thing in the top 4 comparison today is at Turn 13. Just as Leclerc started to turn into the corner, he has to get back on the throttle while still slowing the car down. For whatever reason, the Ferrari rear seems to be quite lively.

Deliberate or not, understeering or not, the sole fact that he missed the corner by miles is enough to call it a fault. Saw many Lap 1 telemetry comparisons of Alonso (cutting T1) and Hamilton. Just wanted to summarise it. By the time Alonso emerges on track, he has gained about 1.2s to Hamilton with a difference in minimum apex speed of almost 40 kph. Lacking all the way to T4 but net gain 0.04s.

@joheb_patel @Dezicx So the bottom axis represents the speed in kph, other the revolutions of the engine. The engine and the tyres are linked linearly, meaning that the dots of each gear аre lying on a line. The more tilted the line, the longer the gear. The more upward it stays, the shorter it is.

@jeznjanardhanan Pressing the throttle while braking keeps the balance a bit more towards the rear, this results in better rear grip. So they "feel" that they would lose the rear more easily while Peres is only on the brakes. To sum up, Red Bull (still) has more rear grip at the high-speed turns
