This is why I felt duty-bound to speak out as Home Secretary As innocent children were being murdered in the largest massacre of the Jewish people since the holocaust, the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign were getting ready to celebrate. There were no marches for the Uyghurs. Or the Kurds Or the Rohingya Or the Yazidis Or for Dafur But when Jews were butchered they couldn’t wait to march. The hate marches have been a damning reflection of two tier policing, normalised extremism and the governing class’ impotence. These people have no place in our country.
