Stephen King said ‘The road to hell is paved with adverbs’ 👉An adverb adds detail to a verb, but we often don’t need them. ‘Suddenly’ is a big one in #storytelling! I’m guilty in early drafts but have learnt to ignore them until editing time. Good to avoid rules when beginning
