Title IV-E of the Social Security Act uses funds for #FosterCare and #ForcedAdoptions. It is a “use it or lose it” scheme, never subject to sequester, and the states get a dollar for dollar match from the federal government for EVERY CHILD THEY REMOVE FROM THEIR HOMES. The states ONLY get the money IF THEY REMOVE the child. This has created a perverse financial incentive by DHHS and Child Welfare agencies to ignore any possibility of reunification, or providing services to struggling families. #DefundCPS #ASFA #FamilyCourt

You know what else the Social Security Act pays for? Removing children from their families through Title IV-E 💔 These funds are given to states to place children in foster care for adoption where the adoptive parents continue to receive these funds until the child “ages out.” Meanwhile, the birth parents lose their rights without any due process and the adoptive child is left with nothing once they turn 18. It’s a SICK system!!!

Our bill HR8866 “Family Advocates of America” would allow every parent to have an advocate with them during any family court proceeding be it legal or administrative. There are advocates for everything nowadays because the bureaucracy has nade thing so complicated. Guess who has no advocacy? PARENTS.

Foster Care is Human Trafficking
This is one of the worst things we have done as a society - allowing the agencies that are supposed to protect vulnerable children to traffic & abuse the most vulnerable. I’ve yet to meet anyone working in counter-trafficking that does not say CPS is trafficking kids. The horror stories are endless. And all the foster kids I know have told me stories of being raped or sexually abused in the system. Why do we allow this to continue? The family courts are no better. The whole system is drenched in the pain of children who have been crying out to no avail for too long. Since we are cleaning house - and cleansing our souls - this CANNOT be overlooked.

Wait until they show you how much money goes to Foster Care, and forced adoptions 💔 So many INNOCENT families ripped apart because of the perverse financial incentives these bureaucratic agencies have. Foster care is human trafficking.
