It is so sad to see care simply described as a series of technical tasks and little understanding of context, risk or consequence. It is also exploitative. Such "tasks" come with responsibility and accountability. I have been an expert witness in several such civil cases.
Care workers will be asked to do more health checks such as blood pressure tests, redressing wounds, adjusting catheters to improve the treatment of older and disabled people and relieve pressure on the NHS. Will this mean more investment in social care?
