In the best tech startups I’ve worked at or supported, the people who credibly define a problem, propose bold solutions, and then build a track record of being right (on both counts) rise to the top. If you’re just starting your career in startups being solution-oriented is really great and valuable but not if people don’t think you have a good grasp on the problem.

Progressives: Raise your hand if you denounced egregious abuses of executive power in past Democratic administrations, eg mass illegal forgiving of student loans and the illegal attempt to halt evictions nationwide indefinitely under Biden, or the on-the-fly amendments to Obamacare by Friday press releases and the various illegal machinations that went into the Iran deal under Obama. Hand up? Good. You likely have principled objections about what Trump is doing and I want to hear them. Hand not up? I don't want to hear your complaints about Trump's abuses of executive power, you only care becuase of whose ox is being gored.

I thought the following came through clearly: >> FIT21 is the basics of what we can expect from market structure legislation. >> Stablecoin legislation is a priority (introduced today in the Senate, House will do something similar) >> Goal is to bring crypto back onshore where it can be regulated (vs FTX) and get founders clear rules asap. >> There is bipartisan support for all of the above.
We have no idea what was said during this Crypto press conference. We think they said they're establishing a working committee to make progress on gaining clarity on the establishment of a bill to provide regulatory guidelines for future consideration by the President. This might need to be DOGE'd as well.😂🤦♂️

It's fun to watch @davidsacks47 talk about crypto in clear, normal-human language to a mainstream audience like in today's press conference. When answering a question about educating new members of the Senate and the House he quickly basically explained that it can be a really esoteric industry but in general there are currencies like Bitcoin that are connected to blockchains that are new kinds of computing platforms that lots of interesting stuff can be built on. People! We need to get that crisp when talking about this tech to normal people it's actually not as insane as we tend to make it.

@EricNewcomer I feel pretty confident they know what they're doing. I can't tell you why other than the failures of mystery box shows are legion and the pitfalls are pretty well understood and someone like Ben Stiller surely has studied that!
