Urgent measures needed to address plight of women & children trapped in bonded labour at brick kilns. Strengthen legal protections, ensure strict enforcement against exploitative practices, provide access to education, healthcare to break the cycle of abuse & vulnerability.
NCHR team visited brick kilns in Punjab to conduct an on-ground study of conditions faced by women & child workers. Visit focused on investigating rights abuses, including sexual violence & harassment.
