After a long flight from Japan, I came home to find a gift from my former team at the @CNSC_CCSN. An album full of happy memories, photos, tributes, notes, and reminisces. Being the CNSC CEO was the honour of my life. I am so touched by this love-filled gift which I will cherish.

I thoroughly enjoyed speaking to the @CanNuclearSoc and answering questions about Ukraine. I emphasized the urgency of raising our voices to address the safety of nuclear facilities in Ukraine. It carries immense global significance and demands attention.

The Frontiers Project meeting provided a platform with our nation’s neighbour on nuclear technology. I described Canada’s nuclear regulatory landscape, how we strive for alignment at the federal and provincial levels + our robust collaboration with other nuclear bodies globally.

Yesterday the @IAEAorg adopted the first-ever General Conference resolution on nuclear safety, security and safeguards in Ukraine. The resolution was led by Canada – a milestone moment in our country’s nuclear history.
