It is a verified account where the materials and interviews prepared by RT are published, relevant to our audience in India. We cross-post with our main RT International handle and our posts are embedded in articles on RT [dot com]. Suspending it on the grounds of “impersonation” is absurd and evidently a case of poor judgment on X’s part. Perhaps someone in the United States was angry that our coverage of the Su-57 at Aero India 2025 garnered hundreds of thousands of views and likes? The timing of this suspension is curious. We received notification at 02:00 IST, suggesting action was taken by the American office. It's sneakily similar to Meta removing all RT Instagram accounts - overnight - at 05:00 in September last year. We genuinely hope that this is a regrettable error that will be rectified, and not an instance of the same bias and censorship shown by Meta platforms towards our channel. After all, Elon Musk has lauded it as a “freedom of expression” platform, where Kanye West can apparently post that he's “a Nazi” - and not face suspension.
