They use the American passport as a way around American sanctions on their own countries and easier travel.

Learn from the UK, which houses illegal immigrants who come by boat in 4 star hotels, all expenses paid. It makes innovation super difficult with high regulation, high taxes and low incentives to invest here. Also it imports foreign students by the ship load to work in care homes while studying for mickey mouse degrees in 3rd rate universities . You have to ask, why are governments so inept?

I'm glad that the H1B debate has happened and we Indians have been at the receiving end of all this hate. We, Indians were getting a little bit comfortable in the western world and needed this reminder that, 1. We as a community need to be vigilant against being too complacent in a world that pretends it's all roses and unicorns. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is great and we should continue to promote that idea, but not at the cost to our own self respect. 2. We need to continue to be even more successful and celebrate that success in our communities . That's how next generation learns how to be even more successful than the previous one. May tbe tribe grow. 3. Education got us till here. It will take us to the next stage as well. We continue to learn and promote that idea. We will continue to sacrifice today for our kids' tomorrow. 4. We don't need any handouts or sympathy from anyone. We can stand up for ourselves and where push comes to shove, we know how to push for our own voice. 5. We will continue to be respectful and integrate into the societies that we live in, however we're not going to discard over a 1000 years of our own culture just so that we can be invisible in that society. Nope. You may use my culture as your prom dress, but I'm not letting you shit all over it. 6. Finally, we call out the bad apples in our own midst. We lead with integrity and empathy . They were always here. Pretty obvious that the ones celebrating the most ( & adding more fuel to fire) over this new demonisation of hardworking Indians over the h1B are the Khalistani, Pakistani & Bangaldeshi hate bots. Over the last few years, these guys have been the most vocal with their pajeet memes. I see some of them here as well. Most Indians ignored them and most of them aren't worth engaging with. The irony of this campaign is that Indians will continue building and getting richer and more successful. The haters will continue being stuck making memes.

I was a legal migrant once and I fully support the deportation of illegal migrants (genuine refugees are a different matter, though). Most people have no clue the number of hoops that the home office puts legal migrants through, just for us to stay legal. Care to share why we should've bothered to stay above the law, not claimed benefits and paid taxes for years, when we could've chucked our passports into the channel and come here on a dinghy instead?

@clairebubblepop Make sure you and everyone that supported this daft policy follows up on this statement from the government. Chances are that whatever is raised will go into a blackhole and all of this would have been for nothing.
