@KetchesonDale I said the same thing but they insisted, I was allowed to make mistakes and learnt a lot from them.

@Campbellgrain @Agridome @MattMcLean72 With today's exchange rate it's closer but it's still cheaper in the states for fluid milk. SM has its benefits but also has disadvantages, if beef was SM we'd have to sell the beef to a board then get permission to buy it back and sell it in a market we created.

@Campbellgrain @Agridome @MattMcLean72 The whole marketing tactic to supply managed dairy is supposed to be based on quality if you have to start sourcing cheap products to fill your own, you lose that

@Campbellgrain @Agridome @MattMcLean72 Hogs could stand to be but How do you supply manage beef? It's hard to turn the dial up and down quickly. I don't think the feathers need touched. I think there's room to move in the dairy.

@maplebeckfarms I'm very ok with that, that's what we did. I save every small piece of cut off for that reason.

@Agridome @MattMcLean72 That is very true. I don't think he's one to give an inch to... he'll take a mile.

@Agridome @MattMcLean72 But if it means giving up some of that market share to improve multiple other industries, are they willing to do it?

@JeffKirchner3 It's definitely a good skill for them to learn. I wasn't upset to take the time to help them. As hectic as it is to have them in the shop it is very enjoyable to have them with me.

@JeffKirchner3 It definitely won't be forgotten by me. They were happy as couple be, and all it cost me was a few screws.
