So many conspiracy theories knocking about as to the reason for our recent form; “it’s because Sam Hird left” is my personal favourite.
Table below shows our position after 27 games. Baxter got injured in game 28 and Dion got injured in game 30. It really is that simple

It’s probably Derby but that’s largely because they don’t have about 15 clubs within 20 miles of them and two of the biggest clubs in world football within 10 miles of them like we do. Bwfc are the next biggest club then Pompey third

I’m inclined to agree with this sentiment. He clearly takes the positive reinforcement angle nowadays with the players. It’s probably the best way to go about management in the modern game rather than calling them out, but sometimes, they need a rocket up their arse, publicly.

But shouldn’t it be from where he was deemed offside not where he eventually touched the ball? He wasn’t offside in his own half. - you can’t be. Also, when the Burton player touches the ball surely that’s a new phase of play and he’s no longer offside?

Promotion is our target this season for sure but I doubt his job is on the line if he doesn’t take us up. He gets one more season after that though (in a much harder league next season) and if we don’t get promoted in 24/25 then I think the board will look at replacing him.

After last season I fully expected him to go to the championship, though he tailed off slightly at the back end of last season. He’s been low on confidence and out of form this season and still has managed 11 goal contributions. Worth the risk imo - £700k max though

Rashford, like most pacey wingers, is very one-dimensional. If he’s not scoring or assisting, then he isn’t doing much else. Grealish doesn’t need to score or assist to have a decent impact on a game. He can draw fouls, keep posession etc. it’s not that difficult to understand…

There are reasons for that. It’s no coincidence that Baxter got injured in game 28, Dion shortly after, and our form has nosedived. Ifs and buts now but if we didn’t lose Baxter we’d be still comfortably in the top 2

There’s clearly a plan to manage JDBs game time to reduce the chance of injuries - I expect his minutes to gradually increase each week. There’s no other explanation as he’s our second best attacker IMO.
I would rather see Khumbeni get some minutes over Dan and Jerome.

We will sacrifice some attacking output playing Forrester over Jones at RCB but for me it’s a trade off worth doing for the defensive security. JDC and Geth are all over the place at the minute and Coleman needs the protection. I’d go Forrester at RCB and Jones at RWB today.

If they lost Norris, & didn’t have a decent back up, then I highly doubt they would be in the position they are now. We’ve also lost Dion and Vic (2 top scorers) at the same time as Baxter. It would be like them losing Norris, Lane and Bishop all at once for a prolonged period.

We are going to need 2 championship quality wing backs if we go up. JDC was only meant to be backup for Kane Wilson anyway. Ryan Strain would be a good option, though he is injured at the minute but worth looking at in the summer. As for this window, I think we need a RWB on loan

We absolutely need a CAM too. A playmaking, goalscoring midfielder is the missing piece. Bradley Dack on a free or maybe someone from abroad!? We need a proven marquee signing though not an 18 year old

I would argue Colby Bishop deserves to be in this. Dion Charles also unlucky to miss out but he’s had some poor games this season despite his goal tally. Josh Sheehan has been our best player this season so good to see that he’s in there
