Forfeits would be hilarious but will never happen. The better answer is to enforce COVID protocol and restrict attendance at the next home game(s). If a team loses out on that gameday $$$ + has to refund previously sold tickets, nobody will end up on the field/court.
The SEC is grappling with a problem of its own making. They’ve collected millions in field/court-storming fines this year, but it hasn’t stopped them. Alabama’s Greg Byrne wants teams that celebrate winning to forfeit instead of paying fines.
