It was our absolute pleasure to welcome Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cornwall to the Royal Hospital today, who met with Pensioners, staff and serving Army personnel. A great day was had by all - the Band of the Household Cavalry were fantastic and the weather held off too!

Today’s the first day of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show as the press and celebrities visit before it opens to members tomorrow. The Chelsea Pensioners were thrilled to meet some famous faces and see this year’s stunning gardens!

at the Governor's parade this morning, while many others will also be marching with pride today at the
#Cenotaph
in memory of the millions killed or wounded in battle during the First World War and in conflicts to the present day.
"I was working at Bletchley Park when we found out the war had ended. A bloke... said, 'It’s all over. They’ve surrendered'. The atmosphere was festive, marvellous, a wonderful thing to remember" said Helen Andrews. Read her story:
