I spent the week programming the Forest Wizard. 🧙♂️ The Forest Wizard is in charge of trees, flowers, mushrooms & butterflies. His performance review is tomorrow - How well is the Forest Wizard doing? Do I delete him? 😂 #IndieGameDev #indiegames #pixelart #gamedev

@LordTerrakram Might be getting lost in translation 😂 I will move away from the art. Not sure about them. Thank you for the support though!

@LordTerrakram Yeah there's actually quite a few games that use the same base asset pack (I will slowly work away from it). I had a look at that game and it's basically a Stardew Valley clone. Mine is more of a Terraria/Necesse type game.

@Rayo75x Yep, that was my understanding. Unfortunately will go back to my initial comment. The background isn't a background, its the actual playable world. To achieve the affect I'd have to include translation logic for each and every object..

@Simon57204094 Yep, my game is in 16:9, and I have hard coded the following configs for the player to choose from: (upto 1920x1080) Hope the helps :)

@Simon57204094 My question is do you NEED to change the screen ratio? Unless you're on mobile, 16:9 is more or less the standard. Unless you're asking about resolution? In which case my camera object handles it all using the system function to update - Nothing special

@Simon57204094 Hey Simon, using GameMaker2, couldn't quite make out that second bit: "how do you make aure with the screen size?"

@Rayo75x Haha thanks Rayo! While I agree, the way the world is structured/presented, adding parallax would be a big chunk of work, more trouble than its worth. Unless I'm looking at it the wrong way, got an example?

@GeordieGeppetto If you pound that like button and crank that share button...maybe... just maybe, Billy.

@ArkanyaGame Absolutely, I made this post in jest to an earlier comment of it being super slow haha.

@LovebiteStories @heliquackter I initially started with easing functions, but the way it interpolated the steps as it approached limit created a super slow "arrive" leading to pixel distortion/screen tearing type artifacts..may just need to write my own functions haha
