Giving Up is seriously the best vocal recording Aaliyah had ever laid down. Her tone is so warm and melodic that it leaves you hanging on to the end of every phrase. I can only describe her vibrato as butterfly wings, very frolic-y and fluttering. This is Aaliyah at her best.
