@Official_1WG From my point of view, I started with the SLR in 85 and switched to the SA80 when posted back to the UK in 93. SLR - pure stopping power. Got hit, stayed hit!! Other than that, heavy/long/cumbersome. SA80 / lightweight, shorter, liked the strap system. Especially as a Sapper.
