It been a long time coming! The Championship course is now open, ground conditions are very soft in places after the quick thaw and overnight rain,so buggies are not permitted, remember to pick up your mat from the Pro’s shop before play.
Morning Dornoch. Happy new year, I hope it’s a belter. Frosty start to the year so the Championship course is closed with an inspection at 10. The Struie is closed.
As from today(7th Feb)the tee markers at the 8th on the Championship course will be on the original green tee, if your ball lands on any newly laid turf, you MUST use one of the mats provided.
Morning Dornoch, the Championship course is open, there is standing water on the 9th fairway and behind the 10th green. The Struie course is still unplayable, photo of the Struie 4th fairway.
Morning Dornoch. Tricky one today. The majority of championship is open however there is standing water in the middle of the course. There is water on greens 5 and 11 so carry your rule book. The 17th hole is closed. Pro shop will advise you further. Just checking Struie now.
Morning Dornoch, we have had freezing conditions overnight, all the surface water is now frozen making it treacherous underfoot, so we have taken the decision to close both courses for safety reasons.
Championship course open however snow accumulations will make play extremely difficult. Buggies not permitted on either course. The burn is over on the struie so certain holes are not passable. In other words stay by the fire!
Morning Dornoch, rain failing on frozen snow has given us treacherous conditions underfoot, so we have taken the decision to close the Struie course all day for safety reasons.

Morning Dornoch, with freezing temperatures overnight and now rain! Areas of the courses are holding water, we are sorry but the Championship course will remain closed with the Struie on winter greens.

The frost has come in harder with the daylight, the Championship course will remain closed all day, Struie closed due to flooding, be careful it’s extremely slippery in places.
Morning Dornoch. The championship course is open. A heavy mist hangs in the middle of the course currently and we are still bothered by flooding at 9. The struie flooding is as bad today as it has been at any time over the past fortnight. Buggies will not be permitted
The temperatures aren’t getting high enough to shift the bone in the surface. The forecast isn’t suggesting they will get any higher so the Championship course will be closed today
The sun is up and the frost is shifting on the Championship course, it will be open at 10:30. Struie will remain on winter greens as the frost is taking longer to shift due to the wet areas.
Morning Dornoch, both courses are open, No buggies permitted on the Struie as very wet due to the burn overflowing, they are permitted on the Championship course.
Dry, windy conditions today however we remain saturated. The 9th on the championship has standing water and the Struie has flooding throughout. Both courses open for play
Morning Dornoch, a slight thaw overnight, this has given us lots of surface water that is still unable to penetrate the frozen ground, both courses are still closed, we will post again later if things change, but we are very unlikely to be open today.
Still some frost and snow on areas on the Championship course so it will remain closed today, better news on the Struie course, it is open on main greens apart from the 5th as it is still firm in places.
Morning Dornoch, still some snow hanging about in some areas, Championship course closed with inspection at 9am, Struie will be back on main greens, No buggies permitted due to soft and wet conditions.

Morning Dornoch. We started to thaw yesterday afternoon so puddles started forming, then overnight we dipped below freezing so we have frozen patches all over the place. Extremely dangerous!
The Championship course is now closed until the 28th, all tweets until then will be for the Struie course.
Today the Struie will remain on winter greens as heavy rain falling on the frozen ground is causing flooding.
