Id suggest everyone to go the alternative - CSP, Procreate, MediBang, Ibis etc. etc.
But unfortunately Photoshop is still industry standard for a reason.. so if you want to learn it, theres a "free" alternative somewhere ⚓⛵
just a reminder:
-photoshop costs $263 A YEAR
-clip studio paint is a one-time price of $54 (and regularly goes on sale for like $40 something)
-procreate is a one-time price of $13
both clip studio and procreate have robust art- and comic-making tools that surpass photoshop

But there really is no original art. Art is always derivative of something. Its a product of our senses.
You draw a cloud because thats how you see it as a cloud
You draw a person because thats how you think of a person
Not a question of originality
I know this is such an irrational fear.. but I truly fear making art right now..
The chances of it looking like someone else's, looking too similar, poses, expressions, the way hair falls, looks.. like eventually I'm gonna make something that look TOO similar to someone else's

Mine was to stop making art with the intention of it being for an audience.
Accepting that people don't have to see all of my work to be considered an artist has given me more freedom to try new things 💞
