Fleeing to another country and trying to lump your culture in with New Orleans culture to colonize it is not part of Black American history. We reject Ethnic Erasure, which is what you foreign tethers are trying to do. You already don't deserve the month of June!

That's a lie, Africa has never been our foundation. We created a foundation from scratch! They've been importing some of the diaspora over here to dilute what we've created so that we can start absorbing their culture. This is why we're making distinctions.
Part of the foundation of Black American culture comes from the African cultural traditions that were brought here by our ancestors during the slave trade. We are all connected. Arguing that we have nothing to do with Africa is insane.
