If youβre new to the world of decentralization terminologies, and (tired of reading) a jungle of papers. If you're interested in techs. @FantomFDN $Fantom #FTM #Cryptocurency #DLT.

@FantomFDN Please upgrade your nodes to go-opera version 1.1.3-rc.5 at your earliest convenience. Another friendly reminder. π.

@AndreCronjeTech @theBullishBit @WillyTheDegen FYI if one still does not know. Their algorithm does not sound, and the prototype from the hashgraph repo didn't work at all at the time. Lachesis is unique. Opera code is developed entirely by Fantom. The network has worked for 4+ yrs. It's permissionless, open-sourced.

@Justin_Bons True. - Decentralization is hard: Fantom solved it 4 years ago. No single block proposer. Fantom has solutions for speed in the db layer. - Parallelization is hard in general: Speed up is estimated around 50%?. Worth a try, but no shill. - L2s are not form of parallelization.

@juanaxyz00 It can be a priori by itself. There is a proverb, which says "9 men, 10 ideas". Often, biases exist and can vary. Stay with facts.

@Leveluptrading @coinmamba @hedera @Leveluptrading Please check section 6.1 in . It's worth a read. FYI. - Their prototype was not working and then it was closed. - Permissionless vs permissioned.

@avaxavyx @hosseeb @PascalStreit @0xsudogm @avaxavyx FTM does produce blocks. Each node maintains a DAG of event blocks to reach consensus of confirmed events, and it then produces finalized blocks. Please check our latest technical report for details. For stats, please check this explorer:

@ironcurtaiin There was a major network upgrade, end of April '21. Currently serving 600k-800k txns per day. It peaked at 1.8m txns in one day. Stats:

@peter_szilagyi @el33th4xor @VitalikButerin We're also looking at the limit of the EVM and disk growth at Fantom chain, too.

@Leveluptrading @coinmamba @hedera Many differences. Hbar's prototype was not working. It should be clear.

@hosseeb @PascalStreit @0xsudogm Hi Haseeb, FTM does have gas limit, though it's not in the same way it's defined in Ethereum. PM.
