Year 10 students enjoyd a gaming afternoon as an end of year reward at the Newcastle United Foundation. The group took part in robotics, gaming room and HADO – virtual reality dodgeball.

QEHS Chess Champion. Congrats to Alex T who won the '23 QEHS Chess Tournament by beating his brother, Harvey, in a tense final which went to the wire. Well done to both boys and to everyone else who took part. Chess club runs every Friday at lunchtime in LA4; all welcome!

Another fantastic day of adventures has been had by Y8 in High Borrans. Three groups went ghyll scrambling at Sickle Ghyll in the Langdale Valley then took a hike up Stony Cove Pike. Another group went caving at the Ribbleshead viaduct. For more photos visit the school website.

Congratulations to Rowan & Amelie who continued their winning streak & beat Glasgow Junior Roller Derby 344 to 116 in the Newcastle Junior Roller Derby on the 26 March. After also beating Stamford & Peterborough Junior Roller Derby 231 to 209, they are undefeated. Well done!

We're so proud of Mateo who was awarded a Tynedale Lions Young People's Excellence Award this year for his outstanding achievements in squash. He competes locally and nationally and competed in the British Open. He receives a bursary to further support his development. Well done!
