If reports are true and we are headed for a lockdown across Ontario I fear for so many small businesses. This could be the final nail. Must admit I'm a bit surprised its all Ontario when today we had just 18 people in hospital here and no one in ICU for the 3rd straight day.

Kyle Turis has retired from the NHL as a player. Scored a lot of big goals for Ottawa and never took a night off. He and Julie did so much good work in the community, we can't thank you enough. Enjoy the next stage.

My opinion on the Uber video is its a brutal and possibly criminal invasion of privacy. Any person secretly recorded talking about their work, co-workers, boss, friends, etc, etc would not want that aired publicly whether they are a pro athlete or not.

1/2 Many thanks to everyone checking in on me Sue and her mom. We are all sore but fine. We were in the big crash on the 417 today. 2 people died in a horrible way and 2 more are in critical condition. There are things we saw today we can never un-see.

On the post game zoom interview the 1st question for Brady Tkachuk was about his GWG. He ignored the question to talk about how well Hogberg played and how he felt about him as a friend and team mate. Brady Tkachuk is an impressive young man both on the ice...and off it.

Fully understand the penalty the Senators received and why. My only question would be proportionality. Other NHL teams have circumvented the cap, and they didn't lose a 1st. Chicago failed to report sex abuse allegations, and they didn't lose a 1st.

Several yrs ago before a broadcast we debated poppy on or poppy off for a 7pm broadcast on Remembrance Day. So we contacted Veterans Affairs for the protocol. The most important part of the protocol is taking the Poppy off. It is to come off after 11am and before Noon.

The original idea to host the Stoneman Douglas players was Erik Karlsson's. He talked with Craig and Nicholle Anderson because they live near the school. They hatched the plan and Nicholle did a ton of the legwork because she's actually in Florida. Well done by all involved!

I had a very negative impression of him.
I was very wrong.
In Ottawa, I discovered what a generous, easy going, leader he was. A team-first guy. He knew everyone on a team played a roll. Treated everyone with respect.

He is a 22lb, 9wk old Landseer Newfoundland. His father is 200lbs so he won't be this size for long. Our other Newf Judy is getting used to him. That relationship will take some time.

Today Mark's the start of the 5th week of the NHL bubble. The hockey has been compelling, the results unpredictable. Most importantly not one positive Covid test. Really is quite remarkable. I don't think the NHL gets enough credit for how well this has been managed.

When a family has a child in hockey it often means the whole family is all-in. Watching the entire Tkachuk family support and cheer on Matt is wonderful to watch. When the Sens get to the playoffs, clear space for the Tkachuks because they will be all-in then too.

Really? You gotta be kidding. There is no such thing as a kids outdoor rink being "an eyesore". Its a beautiful thing. I dont know the people in this neighborhood but I suspect its a fortunate thing for the complaining neighbor that their name has been kept out of the media.
Asking a family to take down their outdoor rink a week before Christmas is ridiculous — especially in an age where we are trying to get kids outside more often.
There has to be a sensible compromise that works for everybody here. Glad to hear
