What irks me the most about the talk that 'Chloe is just an Eevee advertisement' is that she's the only character in Anipoke who's storyline is actually derived from Eevee having multiple evolutions.

Honestly, Sword and Shield were balanced with it in mind (even keeping the same party and battling every trainer, Leon outleveled me in the end), so I don't mind it when it's a conscious part of the game design.
But DPt weren't built with it in mind, so this is a concern.

It's interesting to me that a lot of the characters they have influencing Chloe in the series are characters who are themselves being influenced by Ash. Dawn is missing because I only have four photos here.
I think this is where Bloomboltshipping finds most of it's appeal.

'Filler' doesn't mean 'episode I don't think is important'. It means 'anime original material, made with the purpose of telling a story apart from the source material'. In Pokémon, these are episodes that aren't part of a character's arcs that feature no important growth.

I really believe that Goh is the single most interesting character in Pokémon Journeys, and as we head into what will be the final Project Mew mission, I want to take a look back at how he has grown and changed over time and how his relationships with others impacted him.

It was said in a friendly way tho. Koharu's seiyuu in an interview explained her attitude about Goh. Everyone thought she didn't care for Goh, but the aloof ("ツン" = Tsun) attitude wasn't because of it, but because she felt embarrasment about this friendly affection for him LOL

Serena and Lisia being in Master Rank shows that they're at a very high level. Koharu only participated in Normal Rank.

That's the problem, I think. There's not an easy answer for this. In Pokémon's cse, I would say "if you haven't enjoyed the direction of things since XY/SM, I don't think it's going to change enough to satisfy you at this point", but I'd likely be proven wrong somewhere.

In order to get the full picture, we have to start at the beginning. And the earliest moment in Goh's history is likely the flashback from JN38. Goh is an awkward boy who didn't get to spend much time with his busy parents and also couldn't really relate to his grandmother.

He helps Ash out of his depression, stands up to Kiawe, inspires Chloe into giving Pokémon more of a chance and fights the legendary Zapdos to what amounts to a draw. He becomes worthy of the title of Hero when he and Ash save Galar from Eternatus.

She's a part of JN because the original plan of the series would have probably had her try more things before ultimately making her decision at the end of JN, which is still in the cards as far as I can tell.

This isn't to say that he's finished growing even after all of this. He gets along well with Ash, Chloe, and Horace because they are openly friendly. Gary antagonizes Goh and pushes him to be better, because as Gary himself knows, there are some lessons kindness can't teach.

My personal head canon is that after Serena finishes her contest run in Hoenn she keeps traveling and studies the ways Pokémon and people bond with performances the world over. She participates in Musicals, learns the poses for Z-Moves, trains under the Kimono Sisters, and more.

In Ash, Goh believes he's finally found someone just like him - another loner who cares about Pokémon above all else. After all, why would someone well adjusted be jumping onto Lugia's back? He quickly accepts Ash as his new friend, his replacement for Horace.

Will he learn the lessons that he needs to stand on his own? Will he ultimately fail? These are questions we can't know the answers to right now. But Goh has been an incredibly dynamic and interesting character in Pokémon Journeys, and he's definitely the reason I watch it.

He didn't really know how to express his thoughts or feelings well, and was closed off from others around him. And this would be how things would go until someone saw him, felt pity for him, and offered to become his friend.
