In this edition of ID That Tree, @PurdueExtension forester Lenny Farlee introduces leatherwood, a charming Indiana shrub. Typically found in the understory of forest areas, this compact shrub is easy to identify by its oblong leaves w/ smooth margins & alternate leaf arrangement.
