Happy Halloween!🎃 Today we're highlighting the visual "Pumpkin Brains" by Jessica Faraci. 🧠 About the Artwork: “Although carving pumpkins every year is something we do for the kids, I think I do it as much for myself as for them. This is one of the few times a year where I can pause my busy life as a mom and as a doctor to celebrate Halloween and have an outlet for my creative side, which I never get to express anymore. Ironically, I get the most enjoyment out of carving pumpkins with a medical theme. This year was a pumpkin brain, complete with sulci, gyri and the deep interhemispheric fissure. And of course a spooky skeletal face, though my favorite part was how the brain lit up in the dark.” #storytelling #inspiration #gratitude #motivational #narrativemedicine #stories #storiesmatter #medicalschool #hospital #medicalstudent #healthcare #healing #patient #md #familymedicine #healthcareworkers #healthcareheroes #literature #writers #writerslife #writingcommunity #halloween
