Okay, so Sacrficio takes place in the 1890s, before Tommy Guns were created, but I want to put one in anyway because they are cool, and I think the game would mechanically benefit of having a machine gun

What type of environment or enemy or gun is under represented in games?

The perfect FPS enemy:
Small
Fast
Fly
Applies poison
The poison makes you slower
Explodes on death
Shows up in a swamp with water that makes you slower
Has high pitched sounds
Attacks in groups
It's funny because this was literally the late Xbox/early 360 era of games, when devs realized they could make a cube look like it was 10k polys using normal maps and dynamic lights.
One of the most beautiful styles of rendering and I'm all for it seeing it make a comeback.
This might be an unpopular opinion but I think FPS and RPGs are perfectly fine place to start, sure it's harder then simpler games but it's doable and you'll learn a lot
