South Australian and Victorian public schools will finally be fully funded under new deals the state governments have signed with the Commonwealth. This will be life-changing for so many teachers and students. We encourage the other states to work with the Albanese Government to finalise their school funding deals so that they can deliver this vital investment to their public school communities. #auspol

Victoria is the second state to sign a landmark deal to fully fund their public schools. This will mean more teachers, more education support staff, and more help for those students who need it. Now it’s time for all state governments to follow Victoria and South Australia's lead and finalise agreements that prioritise public education. #auspol

In case you missed it. 📢 Last week South Australia became the first state to sign a deal with the Federal Government that will see public schools fully funded to 100% of the national benchmark. This is lifechanging for students and for the teachers and support staff who give 100% every day. We welcome South Australia and Victoria signing on to this historic agreement and look forward to the other states signing. We call on the states not to delay. Teachers know the importance of this funding, and the need for it to be rolled out as quickly as possible because of the difference it will make in classrooms, and parents understand the importance of teachers being supported to do their jobs well. #auspol
