The concept is still in the research phase, with studies exploring treatments like anti-inflammatory drugs. Nevertheless, this new knowledge cannot yet be used in clinical settings, as more supporting results from research are needed

The latest @PGCgenetics multi-ancestry #GWAS of #depression is now published, featuring the largest, most diverse samples to date. It identified 697 genetic variants & 308 genes linked to depression, with contributions from scientists & data from our dept

ZonMw has funded the DORES study led Sisco van Veen. The project starting in may 2025 - a collaboration of @amsterdamumc @113preventie & @UMCUtrecht @1 - will focus on suicidality and non-resuscitation (NR) declarations, learning from affected individuals and their families.
