@learnwithmrlee I see learning as a cognitive process. But teaching involves classroom management (a behavioral process), building self-efficacy (a social/cognitive/behavioral process), etc. Different aspects of teaching require different frames. And this is why teaching isn’t JUST SOL.

@AnneClearyPhD @philtrem22 @ProfFeynman @S_D_Newman There’s also quite a bit of research looking at how automatization of cognition reduces cognitive load, freeing up space for thinking. For example, if I know 7 x 8 is 56 and don’t have to mentally calculate, I can use that space to apply that info to a problem.
