@josephine_mcf @AddictionsPMC If you want to stop vaping, it is easy. Pick up a refillable device, and liquid in the strength you need, then at your own pace lower nicotine to zero over time, then stop. Cigarettes don’t have that option. Plus 1200% more harmful than vaping. Please ask them to try that.

In progress chicken pie, the filling at least. I haven't decided on the top yet, it could be slices of potato and onion, or just pastry... I'll get to that tomorrow

An incredibly well written book by Dr Mark Tyndall on the evidence base around vaping and other safer nicotine products, which debunks myths about the dangers of these products. The great tobacco harm reductionist and researcher, Michael Russell, declared in 1976 that people

I accidentally quit smoking, started vaping 15 years ago today. Still vaping all day every day and as healthy as an 81-year-old could expect to be. Tobacco control idiocy and mendacity is threatening my mental health, though.

THE SCIENCE OF FEAR... (it's a thing) Public risk perceptions are not always rational in proportion to known evidence of actual risk. We tend to "dread" things that are: - not visible (e.g., radiation) - not in our direct control (e.g., air travel) - new (e.g., #SaferNicotine

Can we, please? Fifteen years of knowing this and asking nicely, yes, it would be welcome.
After a decade long misinformation campaign by “tobacco control” that lumped vaping in with cigarettes & created panic around youth vaping, it is time to correct the narrative. The harm reduction approach should apply to tobacco, too - The Globe and Mail

"She walked in looking for a flavored vape. With the selection stripped and the options bleak, she shrugged and bought a pack of Marlboros." <- Bans on flavoured vaping products, another stunning success for the tobacco control industry! #Winning!

Opportunity or predatory? When public health decisions are made for sponsors, not people, trust is eroded and harm continues. We must break the cycle of 'good optics, bad outcomes.' #HarmReduction #HealthIntegrity #PublicTrust

Take note @AshleyDalton_MP + @wesstreeting Meddling and interference via yourselves + the latter end of previous Govt has resulted in a notable stalling in uptake by 🚬 compared to previous rapid decline. Messaging matters greatly :- yours is very unclear + thus unhelpful
UK should be well on way to smoke-free. Tragically, goal is dead after THR abandoned. Foul politics & authoritarianism prevail over science, health, & sane policy. Vaping not promoted, as advised by RCP; instead, slandered by negligent professionals & vilified by trash news media

A great corrective letter to @washingtonpost and a forthright defence of corporate strategy from tobacco company @PMIScience. I agree with the themes of the letter and I am glad they are pushing back against the blaggers and merchants of doubt in tobacco control and the media.
I had a Letter to the Editor of @washingtonpost published today 🤗 My reaction to @DrLeanaWen wondering "Do nicotine pouches have a public health benefit? It's complicated” 💥No, it's not💥 https://t.co/nKc9TWj85D

It seems CTFK just woke up/came back to life. Hm.
We are developing a new report: "Where Bans are Best: Why Low- and Middle-Income Countries Must Prohibit Chili Peppers to Truly Tackle Tabasco." These poor people are literally drowning in them. LMIC governments are obviously too inept and incompetent to regulate safety.
