YOU LACK THE IMAGINATION. Cars were unattainable luxury for all but the rich. Then Henry Ford and his assembly line made cars for a fraction of the cost. Better cars too. Far more reliable than the hand built practically one of a kind cars that came before. A ballpoint pen was at one point just as expensive as a fountain pen. Marcel Bich invited an industrial process that would manufacture the precision balls for fractions of a cent - that dropped the price to 30 cents. Ocean shipping was once incredibly labor intensive and very expensive.. Malcom McLean just put the containers directly on the ship, and dropped the price of loading and unloading the ship by factor of 36, nevermind it was far faster too. YOU LACK THE WILL. In every case, there are always people who stand in the way. Those who didn’t believe it would work. It wouldn’t be safe. It could cost jobs. And the same can be said for nuclear reactors or any other large industrial project. If it costs more money but the material thoroughput is less, you have a failure of imagination and a failure of will.

It is the way it is so I can have a clean low pitch, not fucking gabled or hipped, and have it go over the deck and fit within the design. If I were designing this house to have to have 20’ foot ceilings and stick framed a roof.. we thought about it, but we designed the layout first and then figured out the roof after. If I do this again one day I’m going from the roof down lol. We also have a lot of windows.
