WC Handy moved to Kentucky to work as a janitor, some time after which, he received an appointment as music director at Alabama A M. While in Kentucky, white students studied Handy’s various forms of Jazz. After Handy left Kentucky, blue grass popped up, Handy didn’t get credit.

European, Asian and Hispanic immigrants have historically entered this country in advantaged positions over blacks. Their presence places a downward pressure on blacks, even though 99% of the blacks in America were here before 99% of all the European, Asian and Hispanic(Anderson)
