As I tell my Constitutional Law students, lots of lawyers were involved in Watrrgate and other Nixon era crimes and many of them were disbarred including Richard Nixon. People forget Nixon was a disbarred lawyer but he was.

It’s fascinating to watch political leaders suddenly proclaim the importance of protest when just a few years ago they were literally saying that protest wasn’t the *right* strategy to employ for change.
I can't adequately describe how even-handed, level headed and frankly boring a law professor Rick is. That he is calling for recusal from Justice Alito is HUGE. ⚖️‼️
WTF Justice Alito? I was uncertain if revelation of first flag merited J Alito's recusal in the first case, but I now believe he must recuse in the Trump immunity and related cases. His impartiality could be reasonably questioned;no blaming it on spouse
Judge Christopher Cooper denies a request by Capitol rioter Eduardo Gonzalez — who admitted smoking pot in the building that day — to travel to London while he's awaiting sentencing post-guilty plea.

The Trump 2024 campaign's filing in Minnesota in his disqualification case is bizarre. 1. Very little law is cited. 2. There is a strange conflation between insurrection and treason which are two different parts of the Constitution. 🗳️⚖️
Sticking your thumb 👎🏻 in the eye 👁 of 70%-80% of Americans who wanted witnesses in the Senate trial is an interesting move in an election year.

This is the exact opposite from Florida where the state won’t tell you for sure that your rights are restored and if you guess wrong you can be prosecuted. 🗳

🤔Interesting. Smith brief at 135 argues that Trump was using his power as the head of the Republican Party not his power as President to pressure Republican governors to cave to his demands.
I’m thankful that the turnout in the 2018 was historically high. I’m thankful that so many new candidates threw their hats into the ring. I’m thankful that so many voters embraced a candidate different from themselves. And come January I’ll be thankful for subpoena power. 🦃🗳🇺🇸
I see an enormous amount of disinformation about what happened during the Trump criminal trial. I saw it myself in person one day. It was calm, professional & Trump’s lawyers had wins while I there. The jury was attentive. The judge was adept. As I wrote:
